GISELE BÜNDCHEN DRESSED IN WATER

Tuesday, September 25, 2007

* First of all I have to recognize that it took me a couple of days to realize about this (in my defense I admit that I was temporary blind by Gisele Bündchen's beauty ;) In this stunning ad campaign we can delight our eyes with this brazilian venus dressed only in water. Everything normal so far, but take a closer look in the third ad of the campaign, nothing? Ok, try again but this time, look at her legs (c'mon it's not a hard task to do). Aha! Did you saw it? The leg in the back is FLOABW, weird.

Are we in front a of the common "Photoshop malpractice" or is it a "cool effect" that mimics the refraction of the light coming out of the water?
I don't know about you but I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt... for now.

Photoshop malpractice or reflection of the water effect? you be the judge.

I can see what you are talking about, and I sort of agree that the effect is a bit drastic. I also noticed that there is so much life in the water, but not so much in her hair. I would have done the shoot over with a large fan. There is a large contrast between the obvious motion of the water and the stillness of Gisele's hair. Don't you agree?

@Chidi

Now that you mentioned the stillness of the hair I can see how that is (not) working.
But the more I see this campaign the more obvious the conclusion that I have arrived seems to be: I'm one terrible pernickety bastard that worries too much about this kind of things when the only thing that really matters is the beauty of Gisele. hahaha.

See ya around and thanks for your comment. ;)

is an error, if i were on purpose the other images would have the same effect, but it is only in this one, and only in that part of her body, not the rest of it

altought is hard to notice at first glimp

@francisco

Of course it's hard to notice about it when you have that beauty in front of you. hehehe.

Thanks for you comment.

@Conejito Perverso

Although the idea behind the tv ad you mention is very similar and extremely well executed it got nothing to do with this. As you may know the commercial was made in 2008 for Mattoni Star (a premium mineral water brand) and the print campaign featured in this post was released in 2007 to promote G2B, Gisele Bünchen's line of sandals and women footwear.

Thanks for you comment and c'ya around. :)
